Age of the Aquarius Partner

As a Gemini, I can thoroughly appreciate my fellow air signs, so I find myself easily intrigued by an Aquarius and their witty ways. Like the famous "Age of Aquarius", they tend to live up to their namesake, in that they are innovative, exciting, and dripping with mystery and intrigue. It takes a unique person to attract the eye of an Aquarius. So, what do you need to know before chasing the illusive Aquarius? Keep reading to find out.

1) Aquarius tends to run with the sapiophile crowd. They need to be mentally stimulated. Aquarius tends to be drawn to fellow intellectuals, and they find themselves diving into the "deep" side of the dating pool. They need depth. They need to date someone who has something real to say, as they tend to not be a fan of shallow chit chat. Talk to them about the newest space technology, for example, and you will get a proverbial "rise" out of them in every possible way.

2) An Aquarius partner will take some chasing in order to be "caught", as they tend to like their space and freedom to do as they please. These are the innovators of the zodiac. Their minds are always dreaming up new ideas, so they need the physical and mental space to do so. If you are the "clingy" type, move on along because an Aquarius values their alone time. They actually require their moments of solitude as these are the times where their sparks of brilliance are birthed. To date an Aquarius, you need to be okay with both "alone" time and time together as a couple, both of which is mostly at the whim of their creative genius.

3) Tread lightly when approaching them. While an Aquarius is drawn to social settings where intellectual conversations are happening, they will usually be on the sidelines, hiding in a dark corner, listening until they decide to engage. They can seem a tad antisocial, but they are actually a bit shy until they assess the situation and the players involved. They will participate when ready. This can make it challenging to get to know them. You need to be patient, as their interactions are generally on their own terms and comfort level. If you seek constant validation and attention, you might want to search elsewhere. An Aquarius needs to date someone who is confident in their own skin and presence, so a Leo could lead to relationship bliss. A Capricorn who has their own shit going on might be a beautiful pairing as well, as the whimsy flair of the Aquarius will balance out a logical and focused Capricorn in more ways than one.

4) Aquarius are overtly honest. Don't ask them what they think unless you truly want to know. They will give you their thorough and unfiltered opinion. They don't really come with a filter, as they say what they think and they think what they say. If you are easily offended or sensitive, you might want to pick someone else. (Needless to say, Pisces is not a great match for Aquarius. A Pisces will engage this mystical Aquarius creature out of curiosity, and then retreat when their "realness" is just too much to handle.)

5) Aquarius seek out the weird, odd, and bizarre. They can appreciate a freaky unicorn. They are innovators, so they tend to like people who are not like the others in a crowd. If you have a freak flag, let it fly, and you will easily catch their eye. They also seek out unique experiences, so they are always up for a spontaneous and new adventure that leads them to discover a stone left unturned.

If you are looking for a partner who will always keep you on your toes, challenge you, and bring you along on great adventures, then you just might be up for the experience of dating an Aquarius. They are always inquisitive, curious, and deliciously original, so be ready for just about anything, especially in the bedroom. Bring your freak flag, and wave it proudly. If you do this, then they just might let you plant your flag on their moon. Proceed as you may.

All of my love,
